The New Globe Project : Bringing Shakespeare to America
I just happened upon a lovely project hoping to construct a fully-functional Globe Theater on American soil. The project would take an old military base that has the exact floor plans as the Globe Theater, and convert it to a center of cultural activity.
This idea seems to be truly worthy and is supported by a battalion of famous actors, singers, and U.S. Congress officials. Yet the project is meeting with resistance from the Parks and Recreation people who own the land. There is still time for you to honor our great Bard!

For those of you in New York, this especially affects you since the New Globe would be there. I would personally travel to New York and withstand the bleeding cold just to see this.
