Not having much else to do and feeling yucky and sick (but not sick enough to be stuck in bed), I decided to make a good dinner (and post about it)!
Presenting the "Good for Sick Times Ramen":
Above, you'll see that there is some lotus root, kamaboko, and an abundance of canned quail egg in some chicken flavored instant ramen. I even cooked the ramen separate from the broth to make it extra pretty! I hate boiled eggs normally, but for some reason I love boiled and canned quail eggs, and putting them in my ramen broth made them extra creamy in the center, so awesome!
I even made a dessert salad, see?
In the picture there are halved grapes, sliced carrots and gelled coconut with a little of the syrup from the gelled coconut jar. Normally, when I'm not under the weather I like to cut the carrots into little flowers or hearts, and I like to eat the salad as a main or side dish during lunch. When I do that, I also add some halved quail eggs to it - it sounds strange, but a little protein in the salad actually does a magic flavor dance ^_^ - but I felt that might be a bit of an overabundance tonight.
Overall, I feel pretty energetic now that I've had a good meal. Not overfilling, and a lot of liquids. Makes me feel less like I'm sick.
