beer and bitch with abigail at the decatur was fantastic.
we got the last order from the taco truck.
no more cheese, but some excellent spiced up grilled shrimp, gratis.
the place was crawling with dogs...really pretty shepards, especially
the white shepard/huskie mix with the curly tail, and the blue eyes.
i like a neighborhood bar that has prince on the jukebox, where
you can bring your dogs, have a huge frosty beer, get shrimp from a truck,
and sit with your friends on an asphalt lot, in the summer.
watched the passion of joan of arc, for about the 10th time.
cried for about the 10th time.
i need the soundtrack.
antoine artaud...what a face.
also rented 'elevator to the gallows', the louis mal film, starring jeanne moreau, with a really incredible miles davis score. i think that film is '58. its pretty much considered to be the genesis of the french new-wave cinema, but thats debatable, if you wanna get into it.
walked to wayland sq. today in the rain. i stupidly wore espadrilles, which are already rotting from water damage, and a white petticoat. god im dumb. by the time i got there i was thoroughly soaked, and had to be late for work so i could change...but there is something really fun about being way past the point of turning around on a walk, where youre either so hot (like last year when i had to walk to the same fucking CVS with a 101 temp, in 90deg. weather) or so soggy and nasty that you just have to keep on going. so i got soggier and soggier, and it was pretty fun. i got my perscription though, so hooray. some vanilla vodka cured all ills.
work has been pretty dead, people-wise tonight, but i got really into some projects that im starting. i did a bunch of tiny-town stuff, and then pinned some pretty flies, which karen said may or may not come back to life (aghh! its happened before), then i freezed a bat and a frog, and did some other shit.
it felt good to be productive, because i was having a really shitty day, but now i feel about 100% better. i might go to the drive-in tonight w/ phil and carla+ to see "war of the worlds", weather permitting. i hope we can go, because i havent been to a drive-in, in ages. im talking the second batman movie, here. yikes.
