01. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Karaoke! Got letters after my name, registered as an OT, lived by myself.
02. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make any and don't intend to next year either!
03. Did someone close to you give birth?
No, but a friend did get pregnant and is due soooon! =)
04. Did anyone close to you die?
No, and touch wood they don't in the remaining 2 weeks!
05. What countries did you visit?
Wales. No holidays for me this year. =(
06. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
More confidence in my own abilities at work, many adoring male suitors(!).
07. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Whichever day it was Barnsley PCT rang to offer me a job.
08. What was your biggest achievement(s) of the year?
Passing my driving test, getting a 2:1 for my degree, getting a job!
09. What was your biggest failure(s)?
Getting upset about things that don't matter. Not being as good a friend as I could have been.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing major so far. I had a nasty ear infection in May.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Sid the car! And maybe my Nintendo DS.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Fiona, for ringing everyday to make sure I was eating when I was sad.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
What the nurses at work refer to as 'relly dumpers'.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Rent, food (so expensive!), wine, stuff for the flat.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Moving to Barnsley

i. happier or sadder? a little sadder, but a little wiser for it
ii. Thinner or fatter? fatter by a few pounds! Not much though
iii. richer or poorer? richer but more in debt!
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Spending time with friends, studying, drinking wine, Moshing it

Train travel!
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Christmas eve with friends, hopefully in a pub, Christmas day with mam, dad and sissy at home
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
Difficult, I thought I was in love for most of it, but maybe I just loved the person and was in love with the idea of having a boyfriend. =S

None
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Gavin and Stacey, Mock the Week
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No
26. What was the best book you read?
The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox - Maggie O'Farrell. It's just beautiful and haunting.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Just odd songs that I heard and liked. Didn't really discover anyone new.
28. What did you want and get?
An assistant Guider, a job, stuff to furnish the flat
29. What did you want and not get?
A kitten! Landlord says no. =(
30. Favorite film of this year?
Can I be really cheesy and cliche and say Mamma Mia!?? It just makes me smile! But I also enjoyed Wall-E.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I was 22 and I went to work, came home, had a nice tea, drank wine in the bath and watched a DVD. =) And Clare and Fi are coming up at the weekend. =)
32.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Maybe not having my heart broken again, but I guess it all makes us who we are.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Lots of thick black tights, dresses, jumpers. Looking a bit like I've been let loose in a charity shop.
34. What kept you sane?
Rainbows, my mum (puke!).
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Still all about Colin Firth. Dara O'Briain (a little bit!!)
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
American presidential elections, I don't really follow politics but even I felt I was witnessing real history. Apart from that just the usual slagging off of the NHS, makes me really angry that people don't know how good they've got it in this country!
37. Who do you miss?
Friends, family.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
I've met so many new people this year, so all the BHNFT OT staff and all the Band 5 OTs in Barnsley.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
It'll all be ok eventually.
