That's not my name!!

'Ello my chickens. I've not written in so long, not for lack of trying or lack of anything to write, just being too busy and tired!
So... big news is I got loooads of work back from uni. Some good, some... not so good. I got 58% on my dissertation which I am really happy with, I didn't expect to get that good a mark (and let's be honest, probably didn't deserve it after how little work I put in compared to everyone else), was expecting more like 52%. But I'm not complaining. =) Next I got back my Specialist Studies proposal (for the stupid audit thing), and I got 35%. Which is crap, not good and referred. However, after much moaning and emailing to the course tutor, I've found out I don't need to retake it as I've passed the module overall. So it'll be a crap mark, but who cares? I can drop 20 credits, and the module is worth that. Then today, I picked up all the work for Professional Development in Practice (which is a module all about personal development and ensuring clinical quality), and I got 54% for my portfolio (which is a normal sort of mark for me) and 62% for an essay about clinical governance! 62%!!! Well chuffed!

Tomorrow, I have my midterm report for placement, I'm a bit scared because I'm still not doing a great deal of real OT stuff, but we'll see. It doesn't count for anything, but will give me an idea of how I'm doing. =S Placement is great still though, we had half term for the last two weeks, so there were children in all the time. We did loads of stuf and it was fun! However, everyone keeps calling me Alison. I don't know if Alice is just a very unusual name in Wakefield, but no one seems to get it!

This evening, I am playing at being Guider in Charge at Rainbows, as Jessica is on holiday. At first I was quite excited, I mean, I organise and run activities all the time, sometimes alone, sometimes with Jess, but it's a bit different to be completely in charge, and I thought it'd be something good to show other people (and myself!) that I can do. Might even convince me to to become a Unit Guider rather than just Assistant. But now... I'm sort of scared. I hope none of them has a bloody accident. My first aid skills are crap. I think I just never thought about how much you're responsible for when you're looking after 10 five year olds. I mean, parents expect you to ensure they finish the meeting in the same condition they started in, namely alive! Anyway, we're making cheerleader pom poms out of recycled plastic bags. They are going to be immense. =D

Actually, I should probably be moving, need to go to the library to print and photocopy letters for Rainbows. Meh.
