Title: Thicker than Blood
Characters/Pairings: Harry/Draco
Word Count: 100
Author's Notes: I wrote this for hd100's "Coming Out" challenge, and I totally meant to write fluff; I don't know what happened there. Anyway, this is rather AU, as I see it taking place in the pre-HBP/DH period before the war, at any time when Harry's in GP. I suppose it ( Read more... )

This is so beautiful and angsty and just perfect. It's great to see you drabbling again!

Thanks so much! I'm really glad you liked it.

It's nice to be drabbling again. I haven't had the inspiration or the time to write much of anything lately, and it's been driving me insane.

But anyway, thank you for the comment.

Meh, everything is AU now. :-) This fits in perfectly with my idea for a 6th year (now AU of course) fic in which Draco is freaking out -- and it turned out to be sort of canon.

I can totally see this scenario, too, especially if Lucius were still in prison and Narcissa had disappeared. Why not hole up at Cousin Sirius' old place? :-)

I know. And it sucks, because this is the one timeframe that I love writing in. But it's been easier to ignore canon and continue to write this kind of stuff than I thought it was going to be. I mean, I still like to incorporate canon as much as I can, but I keep Harry at GP as often as possible, and I keep Harry fighting in the war with the Order, most likely with Sirius. But in all reality, I really should start writing canon-compliant stuff.

I don't think Draco would really have anyone else, either. I mean, all of his family besides the Tonks' and Sirius all pretty much feel the same way, and I do really think Harry would be forefront in his mind, even if not in the way we'd all like. ;-)
