Let's be blunt about it: School sucks. Just last night, it's like eleven, I'm going to bed pretty late, and my sister freakin' leaves to go to a party!! I do not want to go to school!! I'm so sick of it, and unmotivated. I was talking to Erin today and she feels the same way, but she doesn't have a sibling whose on summer break. And this is only getting worse. At least this week, which is suppose to be our last full week, isn't full for me. Wednesday I have the activity fair from 9:00-9:45, then we're leaving for Hartford Stage at 9:45 to see Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. So I only have to go to the beginning of gym...whoopie freakin' do. So that's cool. Then today was cut short, tomorrow is cut short (sure, only for about 15 minutes, but at least I'm not doing anything) for elections. It felt weird not running for anything, and I kind of wanted to get up and give a speech for old times sake. But whatever, as long as I get on student council. If I don't, I'm flippin' out on the class. Then finals are the 17 and the 20 (thanks Becky), and I'm taking really easy ones: Gym, history (open notes so I only have to look over them a bit) and theatre, which yeah, it's memorization, but not anything strenuous. It's fun, really.
So speaking of summer break, the
hp100 challenge this week is sooo great. When I read the challenge, I actually got ideas. GOOD ideas. I think my Hermione one is going waaayyy over 100 words, but the others shouldn't be bad. It's a good challenge to explore the aspects of the book that JKR never gives us, like, for example, what does Draco do during the summer? I hate how we only see really one side of everything. It's mostly Harry. Yet, we do see a Muggleborn, and Halfblood, and a Pureblood, but it's a Muggleborn whose parents we never see, a Halfblood whose family is dead, and a blood traitor Pureblood family. So it's still limited. I'm hoping to read some good ones, too, it should be a cool week.
