YES GOOD, OMFG. I'm not yet in a mindset where I'm adding sex to my PR headcanons (me approaching new fandoms is a lengthy and ~complicated process, lololol), but this makes SO MUCH SENSE. It's perfect.

I'll just be over here, wailing a bit.

I'M GLAD YOU THINK SO. Because one part of me thinks that we're running way too much with the Drift, that it's not nearly as complicated as we're making it out to be, but the other part of me remembers shit Travis has said and also that we've never actually seen the end of a successful Drift, and I think we might be allowed to have elaborate headcanons like this.

Also lol at your ~process :))) but I totally get it, too--I'm one of the people who rarely even have headcanons in general. This fandom's actually been a bit strange (but really wonderful!) for me in that regard.

We're totally allowed. That's what fandom is FOR, right? Take it one step further, put it all into a new context, see what happens. Exaggerate, sometimes, maybe. And yeah, surely, Travis is helping with that. XDDD

IDK, I'm weird. XD I usually don't start getting into a writerly mindset for a show until at least the second season (might also happen while marathoning, but rarely) and then start out with some gen, and then, apparently, like with SPN, by year five it's hardcore BSDM incest porn. PR is new territory for me too, as in, it's the first movie fandom I'm really invested in and I can't get to know my characters slowly and work them out over time, I've got to sound them out in other ways, and also it all happens so much FASTER and a little out of order and idekkkk. But I love it.

Lol, sorry for babbling at you.

No, that's always so interesting though, how differently you have to process material in different fandoms. Like the vast, vast majority of mine are either book series or tv series, so I feel you on being able to work characters out a little bit at a time. It's been a long while since I've had a movie fandom, but I actually think I prefer it--or at least, I find that I only really write in canons that stay static for a good deal of time. (Although that could just be Supernatural's influence, since every new change you get tends to be huge).

Glad you find it interesting, rather than rambly. XD And yeah. I'm actually sort of, idk, ~curious about how I'm going to deal with being in a movie fandom full force, since I've actually gotten rather used to my source material being fluent and continuously throwing new things at me to play with. Granted, a lot of my ideas are still in past seasons and I'm not too worried I'll quickly run out of stuff to play with with PR since it's just a vast landscape, but... it's a different sort of process, still? Heh. Ah well.
