LANGUAGE. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU.

You know the colloquial expression of distance "aways away"?

Well, apparently I never realized how much we fuck that up until I tried to write it. I'm attempting to say "a good ways away," right? Which is something I say all of the fucking time. But I didn't know if it was "way's away," like a 'way' is an actual entity, or "way away," like an adjective, or "ways away," retaining the possessive but keeping the 's' (is it even plural? IDK. What does "aways" mean, anyway?) If we apparently just fuck everything to hell and split up the word "aways" because we think the 'a' is an article, then how does this work? Will anyone even notice and/or care? Does anyone actually know the answer to this?

Or is it "a good aways away," not splitting up "aways" but keeping the "good" in there?

NO RLY, LANGUAGE, WTF.

writing is hard
