All you braces kids out there: You know how when you got your braces off they put that bar behind your front teeth? And it's supposed to just fall out naturally? Yeah, well I was just flossing and RIPPED IT (sort of) OUT OF MY MOUTH. Which is SUPER ANNOYING, let me tell you. It's now only attached by the teeth at either end, so the middle is ( Read more... )

Yeah, it's on the back of my bottom teeth, I guess because they give you a retainer for the top? Idk, but I'm worried it's the only thing keeping my bottom teeth straight since my wisdom teeth have grown in. Which, consequently, I'm also super protective of. My dentist has been telling me for years that I should probably get them taken out, but that if I don't mind them it doesn't matter, and I haven't done anything since. I think it'd feel so bizarre if I got them out now.

Hmm, least favorite, eh? I feel like most of these are cop-outs, as they're who you're not supposed to like, but so be it. Also, I still haven't read Last Olympian, so these are subject to change. Anyway, in order, from most-liked to least-liked:

1. Thalia This is sort of weird, because it's not that I dislike her, and I really think it's more Riordan's fault for not giving her an intro. The Thalia I had in my mind from the stories in the first two books was completely different from the Thalia we see later, and I was never able to fully reconcile that before she went off to the Hunters.

2. Tyson. Again, I feel like a bit of a dick for this one, because Tyson's cool and he's saved Percy loads of times and he's a good-hearted guy. But like, he's bad-smelling and unhygienic, and I just can't get over that. My liking for him has always been a feeling that I should like him, and I only tolerate him because I know that's the decent thing to do. I like when he's off in the forges, so he can be a part of it, but not there. Percy's just a better guy than me, I suppose.

3. Hera. Because really, like Annabeth said, what a bitch. I know we really don't see that much of her, but the little we do made a pretty strong impression.

4. Ares. I know he's the god of war and all that, and I get that him and Percy don't get along, and I respect his pride and arrogance, in a way. But the fact that he's letting his rivalry with Percy interfere with Percy's fighting in the war--which he's fighting to save Olympus--just really pisses me off.

5. Bianca. She might be the only character I genuinely and fully dislike. I'll never forgive her for leaving Nico, and actually giving into her desire to not have him as a responsibility (which is a desire I could understand), especially when his future was so uncertain. However, here I also think Riordan is somewhat to blame, as he rushed her into this decision and it felt very superficial. And although she appologized to him later for leaving, it wasn't for her reasons for doing so.
