Okay, so now I remember why I dislike HBP so much: I WANT TO PUNCH HERMIONE IN THE FACE. I thought I remembered it being just that first scene in the Burrow when she and Ron come in to wake up Harry, but no. I'm about halfway through, and she's ANNOYED THE SHIT out of me the entire time. And I honestly don't think it's Hermione herself as a character; I really think it's something with how JK's written her. I don't know what, exactly, but something's just so off about her in the book. There are times I'm annoyed (or even flat out angry) at her in DH, but even those times don't give me such a reaction as HBP.
Harry's lovely, of course (my stupidly huge crush on Harry, let me show you it) and getting much more violent and dark (not that he hasn't been since the very beginning--some of the things he does in SS that JK just glances over are absurd. I read it and I'm like, "Wait, what? He did what?" And there's absolutely no consequence whatsoever (not that there normally is, mind, for anything he does). I love me some dark!Harry, yes I do.
ANYWAY, ENOUGH ABOUT THE BOOKS (FOR NOW). NEW DH TRAILER. JUST...I CAN'T EVEN. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO DO AFTER SEEING IT. NOVEMBER NEEDED TO BE YESTERDAY, LIKE, FOR REALZ. I cannot wait to see Dan act this one. Until HBP (when Tom Felton came back out of nowhere and was spectacularly amazing) he was really one of the only reasons I stay interested throughout the movies (which aren't always the best directed or screenwritten, IMO) or found them very dynamic. That's not totally fair to Rupert, I know, but I'm excited to see him in this one, too; I think with the bigger roles in the movie he's been getting, he's really been able to show us his talent, and I hope he's awesome in DH.
