The Sea Bell
Well, I'm back.
Vacation was totally fabulous--the weather was awesome, there was no family drama, and we ended up staying an extra night to watch a couple of my cousins' friends play music for us on the beach. One of them was actually also an astronomer, so he pointed out all of the galaxies we could see and a bunch of constellations and stars, so that was really cool. Sunrise was gorgeous both mornings we were there, and I got a bunch of pictures of the Dunes and the Channel and the Breachway, and also the Windjammer and the carousel during dawn/sunrise when they were all pretty and abandoned.
Overall, I wholeheartily approve of such events.
I don't approve, however, of only having about two more weeks before school starts again. Even though it seems like everyone's going back really late this year, the few extra days don't seem to matter at all. Crew's going to start back up pretty much immediately, which I'm both excited and nervous about, but I haven't read any of my books or done anything for Latin, and I just really hope I don't slack off this semester as much as I did last year. Ugh, that's a rant for another day, I think.
Oh! I also finally acquired some money and bought Lines, Vines and Trying Times. Overall, I like it--although nowhere near as much as A Little Bit Longer, I think. IDK, it took me a while to get into quite a few of the songs, where as with ALBL I liked almost all of them immediately. I'd have to say the end of this album--Black Keys, Turn Right, and Don't Speak--totally saves it. It's growing on me all of the time, though, so I'm pretty sure I just have to listen to it a bit more. I just wish I had the bonus track, since iTunes/downloading is annoying and doesn't offer it.
Now I'm just trying to save up a bit more money to finally buy the second and third seasons of Avatar. Thanks to Nicktoons Network marathoning it every Monday and Friday I was able to watch both seasons, but now I need to own them, because I have no concept of what's a waste of money when I DON'T HAVE ANY.
Speaking of, I also want the s4 SPN DVDs, which come out September 1st, I'm pretty sure? Ahh, I can't wait for the premiere of s5. The CW actually made some good freakin' promos and it looks so amazing, omg.
