There are. I'm not an expert either. My friends Dan and Jon have this website (http://www.charactercentral.net) where they collect photos of all kinds of characters in all kinds of different outfits, it's amazing just how many versions of a single character there often are. Bit mind boggling really.
They really are! They're really passionate about character hunting. Me I like it but I genearlly just look at the scedual for a park and see if we can fit a character with a queue in between rides :) Because I really do love going on rides :)
Yeah, I think I was quite enjoying just chilling and looking out for characters! My husband was all like "ok which ride shall we go on first?" and I was like "...ride? why...?" I did enjoy the rides in the end, but if I had been on my own I probably wouldn't have gone to any of them (I am so lazy...) XD
I love the princesses as well, I just didn't take any pics with them cause they just look so unbelievably perfect that I would feel like a bloated whale if I stood next to any of them ;_; I must visit DLP at some point!

I don't know if you're into princesses but they've got the princess pavillion now, which is pretty nice :)

I wrote about the princess pavillion in an old issue of Belgian Cupcakes Magazine, but the review is online too on my lj:
