Daily Journal Goal
Routines...
I've always kept a neat house, but this summer it was all I could do to keep up the laundry and keep the kitchen and bathrooms clean (and the bathrooms just barely). And, that's pretty much all I did. I realized how bad it was when I tried to remember the last time I vacuumed and dusted in the den... it'd been over a month.
For some reason I have had a lot of energy the last couple of weeks, and I won't complain. It probably has a lot to do with actually getting up and doing things. Most rooms have been pretty much deep cleaned. Yesterday and today I tackled D and Megan's room, and their laundry. I do not normally do any of this, beyond dusting and vacuuming D's room, and I don't touch Megan's room. However, both rooms had pretty much gotten out of control.
Yesterday I spent several hours in D's room straightening his closet, doing his laundry, dusting and vacuuming, including moving furniture. I also cleaned the curtains and the windows.
Today I spent a couple of hours in Megan's room. I won't get into detail about how ridiculously messy her room was... I picked up all her clothes-- most of which were on the floor, clean mixed with dirty. Everything got laundered because I was not going to risk a sniff test on any of her clothes.

So, yesterday afternoon, after doing D's room I realized that I really deserved some kind of recompense for this hard work! I texted him that I wanted Modern Warfare 3, and did he think that was a fair deal for me doing his room. He didn't know I was going to tackle his room (neither did I), and I didn't really go into the task expecting payment. Considering, if he'd taken his laundry to be washed, it would have been almost $40 probably, I think he got a good deal. XD So, I went to buy MW3, and lucky me, it's on sale this weekend for 1/2 off! So, I got Mass Effect 2 as well, and he ended up saving $10 in the long run! xD
As for Megan's room, I texted him and told him Megan owed me Skyrim. Considering while I was cleaning D's room I found a check for Megan for $100, she can afford it... especially since a couple of months ago I asked if they'd deposited that check and they said they had! So, it's found money for her anyway. XD
I did not buy Skyrim... I got talked into Battlefield 3. We'll see how that goes. I think I should have gotten Skyrim, but I can negotiate for that later. XD
Can you tell I've been playing a lot of games lately? I'll post later.
Oh, and BTW... that guy texted me today... so maybe all is not lost. XD
