Two weeks in...

Hey everyone,
How are you all? I'm having a great time still, although the real work has begun now so the fresher's events have dwindled out slightly. Went out last night with my flat mates to a club called Halo, which is a spooky converted church where there was an indie night. Quite cool, although they played loads of things which really remind me of home and zesting on mondays which made me feel kind of sentimental/sad. I've been here two weeks now, it seems like ages ago that I left home and yet it doesn't feel like it's been that long! Our Fresher's Ball is on saturday so expect a drunken phone call with Tony Christie in the background! I plan to buy a little black dress tomorrow. On Sunday we are going out for a flat mate's birthday. She's a crazy northerner and wants us to wear PJs and do the Otley Run (pub crawl along a road with about 40 pubs in it where u have a pint in each!) Hmmm...

My course is looking good. The lectures for History of Art are quite hard, but my tutor is nice so thats good. English is wonderful as usual, although a lot of reading (read Turn of the Screw last night and this morning). I'm doing Philosophy as my elective (just come out of a lecture for it), it seems good, I think it will help me with my other subjects.

I miss you all very much. I think it is finally sinking in that I'm here to stay and although I'm enjoying it, it's also made me feel quite anxious this week and sentimental about all my lovely friends at home. My mum is visiting next weekend which will be nice. Anyway, hope you are all well. Love you all. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
