Been Awhile
Been LJ MIA lately. Doing summer stuff. Did the family shore vacation... well a few days of it. It was great but hot as heckies weather. Then went on a trip to Punta Cana. Was fantastic! lovely beach and pool. Nice all inclusive resort. Food was good. Company was good. Two massages were relaxing and swimming with dolphins still feels unreal. I even got a tan although I used 45 spf and hide in the shade the whole time. woo! go Irish!
Things I did not like were breaking my toes or something by slamming them into a lounge chair the first day on the beach - ouchie!, other peoples friends that weren't supposed to be there to begin with, and getting sick the day after I got home and still am trying to get over.
meh- the good outweighs anything else so I had a great time and it really did live up to my relaxation expectations. I'm was back to work on Monday and have been exhausted ever since. But will catch up on sleep soon.
On the sad side my Aunt Marie who is the last living sibling of my Mom's was placed on hospice and is not expected to live long. She is 96 and has lived a good long life. She's a fun women. But it feels like a lil bit of my Mom is going with her and I am sad about that. However I guess she will be with all her brothers and sisters, including my Mom. I can just invisions them all welcoming her in for some good food and conversation. They always knew how to enjoy each other. A family friend's fiance also passed away last night. On his 50th birthday earlier this year he went into the hospital with what he thought was a heart attack. Turned out he had a brain tumor and then they found cancer all over his body. He went very quickly. Another stressful thing was that one of my brothers went into the hospital last week for heart related distress symptoms. He is out now and they are still taking tests to find out what is wrong with him. On the good side he says he is feeling better.
sheese!!! - they say things come in threes and I've seen it happen often.
I know I am forgetting tons of stuff but it's all old news by now. I'm going to go relax. Talks to you again
