After a wonderful break, I am back in Ypsi and already getting into the swing of things. Sorry for the lack of updates recently. In the words of my sister, my break turned out to be "a busy." I spent the night at a homeless shelter; spent the day tobogganing and Bible studying with Annmarie, Curt, and Thomas; spent a bit more time with Thomas; visited my Grandma; did a TON of homework (and still should've done more); spent lots of time with my family; visited my high school youth group; and did spend some time sleeping, watching tv, and just bumming around. I could've easily used another week of break, but alas, I will have to endure the stress until summer. Yikes, that sounds so far away, yet it's coming so quickly at the same time.
Speaking of summer, I'm still trying to figure out what my plans are. I'm going to take a class at OCC (probably speech, just to get it over with cuz it's annoying), finding a job somewhere, doing volunteer work with different agencies (hopefully), running the kids program for the Women's Center in Flint again (btw, if you want to help with that, let me know!), and hopefully a few trips and fun times here and there. While it sounds busy, I know I'll be bored at the same time. lol. After such a fast pace at school all year, it's hard to adjust to the lazy summer feeling without everyone around all the time. Ah well, we'll worry about that in 2 months.
In the meantime, I should get some sleep. The rest of this week makes my stomach churn when I think about all I have to do. Especially since I have to do extra homework so that I won't have to worry about getting it done at retreat this weekend. While I would prefer retreat be further away from break when I'm even more desperate for a break, I think that I might actually need it desperately at the end of this week! Ok, enough of my aimless ramblings. If you read all that, kudos to you. :) Have a lovely week all!
