Lost: In Translation plus chatter

Daughter went to see Motorhead in concert at the weekend. Now I like their hit single Ace of Spades, but to my mind Motorhead tends to lack any kind of musical subtlety. They play fast and have two noise settings very loud and horrendously loud. When daughter got back home she was so deafened she could hardly hear and kept yelling at me. She kindly informed me that there were a lot of oldies in the audience; she'd talked to a woman about my age, and lots of bikers in leather! Since Lenny of Motorhead is 60 I'm not surprised that they were a number of 'oldies'. *g* It's kind of funny sharing musical tastes with your teenage daughter. We both like Alice Cooper and were considering a trip to London to see him in concert, she loves Queen as much as I do and has all my CDs on her IPod. I'm quite keen on a number of bands she's introduced me to, and so it goes on. It's certainly a far cry from my teenage days when my mum and dad hated my taste in music. *g*

Now to Lost. This episode was fantastic. I loved finding out more about Sun and Jin and you could cut the anger and tension with a knife when everyone believed that Jin had burnt Michael's raft. I think Sun is beautiful, and I'm learning to appreciate Jin more, although he was a complete bastard to Sun at the end. Locke was his normal mysterious self, and I thought the ending with Hurley was very well done moving from ‘club beach holiday semi focus’ to the pragmatics of what the hell you do for entertainment when the batteries run out! Even the hubby enjoyed it, and that's a real accolade. *g*
