A few days in a nutshell
So last weekend while Sam was over, he had surprised me with my laptop, and then we watched a couple movies over the weekend. We watched American Psycho, Stick It, The Amityville Horror (the newer one), and the original Ocean's Eleven. It was an alright movie, but I like the new one better. We made our usual delicious grilled chicken recipe, had some awesome red wine called Donausonne. You'd think it wouldn't go well with a chicken dish, but I promise you, it is PERFECT. I don't know if it would go well with any other chicken dish except the one we made. Haven't tried it with anything else. We also had some mashed potatoes and veggies. Over the weekend (and thursday & friday night), we also had some yummy pizza, and Sam made some quesadillas with salsa and sour cream. We had a real fun weekend. I made us my southwestern egg breakfast one morning. Sunday morning I made us some potato pancakes.
Last night after work, I went with a couple coworkers, Jenn and Donna, to a dinner hosted by a drug rep. We went to a place called Carelli's in Boulder. It was a really nice restaurant. We were all in a private dining room, and there was an open bar. Jenn and Donna and I had a waiter who they instantly took a liking to. Well, Jenn did. :D Throughout the whole night she was flirting with him, and I kept telling her over and over to just ask for his number, but she was too shy. So by the end of the night, Donna went to the bathroom, and Jenn and I were sitting at our table. I finally got tired of waiting for the question to EVER possibly come up, so I just flat out told the guy, Jenn wants your number. She was sitting right across from me, and I said to her, I'm sorry, but you need to get this done :D So he grabbed her phone and entered her number in himself.
My meal was really tasty, but the service really sucked. It came out to me pretty rare. I wanted it medium. I sent it back to have them cook it some more, and then it came back to me COLD! The plate itself was hot, but the meat was cold! W. T. F. So I just took it to go and cooked it up at home the way I wanted it. I was really liking the place until that happened. We still had a fun night though.
Tomorrow is friday though, YAY!
