Birthday Weekend!
This past weekend was Sam's birthday, and we had fun celebrating it. Friday I slept most of the afternoon away. I had gone home from work not feeling well. Caught some crappy kid virus that had me hacking up a lung. I felt better later on and went grocery shopping. Saturday Sam came over, and I had lunch waiting for us. I'd ordered a couple yummy calzones from Extreme Pizza. Well, as Sam pointed out, they would've been good had they not filled it up with TONS of ricotta cheese.
We had some yummy drinks throughout the evening, and then we grilled some chicken for dinner and had some garlic mashed potatoes. I made the same dessert that I mentioned in this post. Watched Stranger Than Fiction, which we both thought was going to be funnier than it was made out to be. It wasn't necessarily bad, but just not as comedic as we'd hoped. The rest of the night was just filled with tons of fun. :D
Sunday he went home and I went to his family's house a few hours later to celebrate his birthday some more. We had pizza and a delicious cake. Sam had asked to bring some of that Irish dessert home for his parents to try. They both liked it a lot. Sam got some money for his birthday, and I have something on order for him (which he knows about), but it won't arrive for a while. I watched him do some archery in his backyward, which I must say, he looks very good doing it :D
Off to work today. I'm considering actually using my day off from work, Wednesday, but I'm still not sure. I'd rather be earning some money I think. I'm off to get ready, have a great day everyone!
