A few points..
1) Yesterday, a 5 yr old girl came in w/her mom for an appointment. She said in her little girl voice, "My daddy isn't here.. cuz.. um.. cuz, cuz, my daddy isn't here because he's in Iraq." Good lord I wanted to cry.
2) Today a mom came in with her 12 yr old daughter, and she noticed the EGA necklace I had on (that's Eagle, Globe, Anchor - the Marine Corps symbol), and turns out her husband is a Marine and her father is a retired Marine. We talked about Sam's deployment and she wished him luck as well as me. It was really nice to connect with someone like that who understands, literally, what I'm going through.
3) Sam e-mailed me back today! I'm so happy I got to hear from him.
"Hey, just wanted to let you know i got all your emails. I just don't have as much time to check them right now as i thought i would. My mail address is the same as where you sent the motomail to.. i don't have it on me right now though. Anyway, i just had a really looooong day, and i can barely sit up anymore. I'll write more next time i get the chance."
ok, well, only a couple points. but anyways.
I have a sinus headache. Yayyyyy.
Gonna e-mail Sam's mom back and then I'm off to watch my Monty Python dvd's and try to get rid of this dang headache.
