I found something I wrote 7 years ago

It's about the five senses. Somehow this came as a result of me seeing the movie "City of Angels" when it first came out in the theaters.

...I shouldn't take for granted the 5 senses we have.
For touch, I'm touching this pen I'm writing with. It feels like a plastic beam, rough and hard. My hand is going over this paper smoothly - it feels soft except when I get to the edge and I feel the bumps from the rings. My elbow and forearm are resting against the surface I'm writing on - cold, hard plastic, and my skin feels sticky on it. My watch is cold around my wrist, and my fingers are wrapped around the edge of this lap desk thing I'm using, touching cloth underneath. the cloth is touching my leg, and it keeps it warm in some spots.

For taste, I just had a couple swigs of gingerale and I held it in my mouth. I felt its coldness around my tongue, and I could taste the spicyness in it. I had a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, and as I move my tongue around in my mouth, I can taste remnants of this candy, and it makes me want more.

I can hear the tip of the pen move along the paper, and also my skin rubbing against this paper. I can hear my fan blowing full blast at me, and I push to the back of my mind the radio commercials.

I can smell the lotion I just put on my hands, it's from Bath & Body Works, called Pure Sunshine. It smells like baby powder.

I can see way too many things to describe - objects, shapes, textures, pictures... a lot of stuff that people take for granted.
