mmmm. i like this a lot, goyle being good with his hands and snape being too nice for too long. (this line especially: Crabbe laughed even though he was failing everything too (hur hur hur hur). yay parentheticals!)

Freaking God. This WORKED. It really worked, and Goyle in this is... so beautifully written. I felt him. I was him. (While reading this story, and yes, at school. Although I was thin and tall, and I wasn't good with my hands. Just with my eyes, and watching things.)

Snape's oddly in-character gentleness is also brilliant. Utterly. It made me... warm, and--well, I never thought that would happen with Snape. But it did. *coughs* I love your use of silence and how you show so much of him through it, and so much of Goyle, too.

Each line of this story is so carefully measured and paced. It has something of Goyle's voice in it, and Snape's meticulousness. (But they're both of them meticulous, aren't they?)

"The detail...you even have the bend in the North Tower."

"I see that sort of thing."

"Yes, you do, don't you."

You are a powerhouse, you know that? You rec me and suddenly five bajillion people come to read. Well, relatively speaking. Very cool. So thank you for that. And for the glowing review. My aim was to make people happy and fuzzy and hee, yeah.

(Snape always struck me as the kind of fella who'd hate you til the day he died if you pantsed him in school, but would be generally kind (in his own stunted way) to people on his side of things.)

Just freaking lovely! A perfect portrait of the big, dumb kid that everyone sees as JUST "the big, dumb kid" - I always wondered about Crabbe and Goyle.

*making note of this site for future reading*

Aw, thank you. I've been friends with a few "big dumb kids" so I guess the oversimplification of Crabbe and Goyle always bugged me. That's an argument for a different day, so, um. Thanks again!

Very, very, nice. It matched my morning perfectly {peace and quiet in the house, rain outside, and coffee inside}.
