There haven't been nearly enough sound-effects today.

HOW AM I ONLY FINDING OUT NOW THAT THERE'S GOING TO BE A FIFTH SEASON OF CODE LYOKO? HOW DID THIS EVADE MY NOTICE FOR SO LONG? INSTEAD OF 2D AND CGI, IT'S GOING TO BE LIVE-ACTION AND CGI. THAT IS JUST. HAHAHAHA LIVE ACTION CODE LYOKO. THEY BETTER CHOOSE ACTORS WITH LARGE ENOUGH FOREHEADS.

NOT GONNA LIE, I DON'T EVEN CARE IF IT'S GOOD OR NOT. I FULLY EXPECT THERE TO BE LITTLE TO NO RESOLUTION OR CONTINUITY. WILL CODE LYOKO: EVOLUTION BE A QUALITY SHOW? HOW MANY APPLES MAKE UP AN ORANGE? DOES NOT COMPUTE.

I JUST REALLY LOVE THIS SHOW, GUYS.

Moving right along! Work was not nearly as crazy last night as I expected it to be. I think we did ~300 covers, but we were prepared and we didn't run out of anything, which was super relieving. Running out of items and needing to bake off more during service is one of the absolute most stressful things that can happen. We did end up baking off more of one of our items last night (my item, actually), but we had enough people in the kitchen that it didn't set us back, and it was really more of a "just in case" thing than an "OH GOD WE HAVE NO TARTS LEFT, CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT" kind of thing.

There are definitely moments when the stress gets to me, but I love my job so much. I know I sound like a broken record, but I'm just so happy right now. There were so many random little moments last night that I just felt this overwhelming sense of love for what I'm doing. I'd be hunting around for corn syrup or supreming blood oranges or running dirty sheet pans to dish or timing my apple tarts so they were ready at the same time as everything else for each ticket, and I just. I just love it.

Howwww did I get so lucky?

i love everything, work, capslock as a way of life, code lyoko
