Last Friday, the 25th, was my 25th birthday. My mom, Penny and I decided to go to Savannah for the day to shop, look around and just have fun. Here are some pictures from Savannah!
The entire drive there it was pouring, but as soon as we parked, it cleared up and looked like spring downtown
They have such steep staircases there that I'm surprised people don't fall down all day
Savannah's waving girl
After shopping and walking around downtown, we went to Bonaventure Cemetary. It's the cemetary where the movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" was filmed.
This angel had no fingers left and half of her wing was missing but her hand was full of change... anyone know why?
This was the grave of a little girl named Gracie. It's supposed to be haunted. We were standing there, reading her tombstone and taking her picture when we read that the date of her death, was 2 days before Easter- the same day that we were there! It was kind of freaky...
This is the last picture I took. It made me sad to think about how many of these will be put up for people my age due to the wars that we are involved in now. No matter your political stance, it is very real that people, our age, older and younger, are dying for this. They are husbands, boyfriends, sons, brothers, wives, sisters, girlfriends and daughters.
