[POST WRITTEN ON FRIDAY]
Wow, last night was hectic.
First up was Antonia Huges' christmas party. It's amazing how Toni, who I know from back when I was a teenager, has become a well known actress now, largely because she plays Jack Dee's daughter on Lead Balloon. I'm so proud of her! The party was great - mince pies, cool guests, tasty wine. I met Simon Amstel (the current host of Never Mind The Buzzcocks) who decided that I was "in charge of the Internet" and attempted to set me up with some random girl (apparently she is currently working as 3rd Assistant Director on Sherlock Holmes). Also met Chris Cottam, who is quite a successful commerical director, who coincidentally works with Rankin, whose
website I worked on.
After a few hours of schmoozing I said my goodbyes and headed on to the Prince for Andy's 30th. Always good to see everyone :)
Aftwards, on
eviluncletony 's recommendation, I headed down to the Old Boy's Club to check out
Disconnected, an interesting experiment in off-grid clubbing. Basically, everything there is powered off a set of bike turbine generators. So there were a bunch of clubbers frantically peddling away to keep the sound system working. Oh, and some of them were dressed as Zebras.
I just don't have the words...
