I think I've told you already. I think that River dissociated and became Birdy, so that they're not actually two separate people. *nods*

Oh, I'll stick it out to the end to see if I'm right or not. The alternate theory would be that there were clones of River at the Academy, but that's fairly low on my totem pole. :D
