A Good Day To Be A Dog

A Good Day To Be A Dog is a very cute m/f Korean romantic comedy webtoon about a woman who is cursed to turn into a dog every day at midnight if she kisses someone...and the dog-phobic guy she accidentally kisses while drunk.

It's on-going, but Chapters 1-61 make for a moderately self contained getting together romance. Its up to Chapter 71 now and I'm still really enjoying it. I usually get bored of romances once the main couple get together, but it's cute watching their relationship develop and I'm curious to see where the other plot threads go.

It's not doing anything massively original, but is sweet and romantic and funny, with likeable main and side characters, and enough dramatic tension to be interesting without descending into annoying melodrama. The female lead is basically a Nice Girl, but loud and dorky enough to not feel generic, and the male lead is the sort of "seems grumpy but is actually shy and traumatised" silver haired dude I am always here for. It's entirely heterosexual, but not too heteronormative. The fantasy worldbuilding is pretty slight but mildly intriguing when it shows up.

The leads are both high school teachers, and there's a few plot threads about bullying. I think it's handled moderately well, but it might be triggering for some people.
