Time to try out this cheesy micro-transaction riddled vampire dating sim in the hopes of smooching a cute lady vampire.
Note: This is the second season, the first does not have any female love interests, although Bridget shows up as a minor character. I don't remember how (or even if) I made sure I was playing the second season, but I appear to be doing so, hooray!
So far it's shifting between past and present tenses from line to line, which isn't a good start...
The protagonist Mina is a (very cute!) hunter who is searching for the Castle of Evil Vampires in the Spooky Forest.
SHE HAS A PET WOLF. CALLED BEAR :D
She refers to him as her "partner" which I am 100% here for. Also his full name is Bernhard. I wonder if he's actually a Hot Werewolf or just a regular wolf, either is fine by me.
And now I get to chose her name? BUT IT ALREADY SAID MINA! HOW WILL I COPE WITH THE COGNITIVE DISSONANCE?? (I'm keeping Mina)
Mina needs to find the castle to save her sick sister Alissa...by making her a vampire? Using vampire healing magicks? (This is never explained)
Mina is a witch, like her grandmother before her, excellent. But she isn't very good at it.
Mina: This forest used to be full of evil demons, controlled by the vampires, who the villagers blamed for every bad thing that happened.
Me: DEMONS ARE NICE ACTUALLY, YOU SHOULD MEET YUKINA...omg she SHOULD meet Yukina they would be EXCELLENT together.
(Yukina is the badass demon heroine from Shall We Date: Demon's Bond)
500 years ago Mina's ancestor Tatiana negotiated a peace pact between humans and demons, then vanished. The demons left and the forest became a maze, making it impossible to reach the castle.
Bear's warns Mina that someone is approaching. They prepare for a fight...

I picked the most badass looking options from the very small selection.
And I got rewarded with 50 story tickets! Ah, they're used to advance the story, and renew every 4 hours. I also got 3 gold keys that "let me participate in Special Dating Gacha" which sounds ominous.
But for now, let's play a scene! Here's all the characters from both seasons, you can tell the second season characters by the art style change.
Six of the love interests are "recommended", which I've marked with asterixes. I'm guessing the others have spoilers or something.
Vampire: Vance*, Rogan*, Bridget*, Bradley, Zephyr, Cecil, Lionel, Edgar
Werewolf: Gordon*
Dragonewt: Gerard*

Two men emerge from a magical portal.
TIME TO STOP FOR ANOTHER AD
They call each other Opal and Apatite. They seem to know what happened to the villagers, and want to fix it.
ANOTHER AD JESUS CHRIST
(You get the idea. It continued like this for the rest of the game and never stopped being annoying)
Mina follows the men through the portal to...an ocean liner at port! They agree they have no choice but to get onto the boat, since "orders are orders".
AND THEN. I WAS OUT OF STORY TICKETS???
BRIDGET GOT. ONE LINE.
Ok, phew, I still have lots left, it's just that I can only use 5 at a time. Later I realised the ads come up at the end of every ticket, and each ticket marks a part of a chapter. That was the first five of the 17 parts making up chapter 1.
Mina sneaks onto the boat and sees a bunch of strangers talking. Including...Bridget! OK. GOOD.
Mina is so captivated by Bridget that Bear has to nudge her to look for clues about her missing family :D
The lights go out, and Mina sees Bridget surrounded by demons!!

After Mina brings down all the demons with her bow, Bridget thanks her, then leans in to SMELL HER.
Bridget: You're a human...what are you doing on this boat?
Mina: Of course I'm a...*notices Bridget's fangs* Oh D:
Bridget says she's vampire nobility, and doesn't hurt humans.
Mina: So you're not one of the vampires that attacked my village?
The what now? (EDIT: I found out from the wiki that vampires attacked Mina's village and she was in the forest to investigate. THIS WAS NEVER EXPLAINED)
Bridget: Those were likely vampire supremecists. Everyone on this boat has gathered to fight that organisation.
Time to make a choice! I belatedly realised after my last choice that replaying will be a PAIN IN THE ASS so looked up a walkthrough...and got confused again. Turns out there's a moonbeam/sunlight dichotomy, where both approaches lead to good endings, but you have to be consistent. From here and here:
Moonbeam points lead to a "serenade" ending, where Mina becomes a vampire and has more than one person into her, it's a bit harem-y. Sunlight points lead to a “Toccata” ending which is more straightforwardly romantic, and Mina stays human. If you don't have enough points for either, you get a bad "Farewell" end.
Those both sound good?? But since there's only one female love interest, let's pick Toccata/Sunlight.
HMMM except these moonbeam choices look more fun and assertive. Maybe I'll play moonlight and look up the other ending. Assuming I get that far, sounds like there's some VERY ANNOYING game mechanics coming up. Also ten chapters oh god.
Bridget says this ship isn't safe for a human, but Mina refuses to leave. So she makes the bodyguard offer!
And then, suddenly: four men and a mini dragon! the dramatic sequel to 3 men and a baby

So since I am really not sure I'm going to make it very far in this game, and to make sure it really is a romantic path, I looked up the Serenade ending and YEP that is pretty unambiguous! Also kinda sexy, in a bad, underwritten fanfic kinda way.
It looks like noone has uploaded the Toccata ending, boo. Looks like Bridget's path only came out at the start of the year, maybe someone will upload it in the future?? One thing I do like about this game is the art, and I found the first three CGs online, which are pretty nice.
Anyway, I still have some tickets left but have run out of motivation, idk if I'll make it through all TEN CHAPTERS, which would require like 20 days of eking out the tickets as they renew. Plus it's just...not very good. But it was fun to try it out.
