2017 in review
The 2016 post. I was also tagged in a "good things that happened by month" meme by 
eeddis but that would require too much remembering of specifics :)
1.What did you do in 2017 that you'd never done before?
Went to the professional game developer conference GCAP in Melbourne. It was pretty good!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Last year's resolution: Don't get sunburned! I've been going in the sun a little every day for the last few months and am hoping to make it to autumn with no sunburn, it's going well so far.
Outcome: SUCCESS. I don't remember getting burned at all, or at least nothing beyond some mild pinkness.
For 2018: I think...finish a game! I have a few on the burner and need to stop procrastinating. At the very least I'd like to have another Jane Austen Game route finished.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Ooh. I don't think so, I think they were all in 2016 but I could be misremembering.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
5. What countries did you visit?
Just Australia but Melbourne is far enough away that it was still a big trip.
6. What would you like to have in 2018 that you lacked in 2017?
2016 answer: A finished version of That Jane Austen Game.
2018 answer: >.> Also: a better system for dealing with my chronic pain.
7. What dates from 2017 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
let's ignore depressing or personal answers and say: GCAP!
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Went to GCAP, actually spoke to people and had interesting conversations. Asked David Gaider a question! Also [personal things]
9. What was your biggest failure?
As before: Nothing is standing out and all the possibilities are depressing. NEXT QUESTION.
10. Did you suffer (new) illness or injury?
Up to three years now with no new illnesses, truly I am blessed.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
In terms of value for money probably Starbound.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Once again the answer is obvious and very depresing and appalling indeed :(
14. Where did most of your money go?
And once again: travel is the only interesting answer to this (the boring answer is housing and food but obviously?)

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? maybe slightly happier?
b) thinner or fatter? About the same.
c) richer or poorer? Poorer, because Cam went from a SUPER well paying job to a moderately well paying one. But he likes this one more so I don't mind.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Repeating: One of my resolutions was to let go of guilt so I am deliberately not answering this haha.

Hannukkah didn't end happening this year so we had a very quiet Christmas with Mum.

Not with anyone new!

I turned 38 and didn't do very much.

I'm not sure anyone's surpassed Diego Luna.

All the people I didn't get to see in person because of fatigue *waves across the pixels*

The peeps from the NB Pacific Discord (including but not limited to the ones I met in person at GCAP/PAX)
