I wasn't going to post this until I had some other stuff to go with it, but I'm bored.
My brain has so much trouble once a story gets above about 7K words, I have extreme difficulty keeping all the themes and emotional arcs etc straight. Even with shorter stories I have to write them as little scenelets and then fairly short chapters otherwise I can't keep it all straight. But this demanded to be long! Which isn't that surprising I suppose, since I've been pondering how to get Chell and GlaDOS together since finishing Portal 2. So many shippy feelings, so many reasons they would never work. Various ideas and stuff have leaked out into other robot stories over the past year, which is good, or it would have been like 30K and unfinished. Also it made me realise how much I freaking love writing stories about robots and AIs :D
If you're into Portal fic it all seems to be on tumblr these days (this certainly got a much larger response there than any of the other fic I've posted) meaning I've finally gotten into this whole subscribing to tags thing the kids are talking about these days.
