Righty ho. So Ive just watched 500 days of Summer and although its not your typical romance, my heart melted. I really love that type of film. You know...the ones that make you think about all the little things in life. Things that make you smile. So i thought id make a list of mine
Im such a child at heart and im training to be a primary teacher so definitly in the right profession. One of the first things that automatically makes me smile is children smiling or laughing. It just makes me feel so warm inside. Childhood innocence is something we should never let go.
.
Another thing i love is sweets...but im not talking chocolate or anything boring here. Im talking good old fashioned sweeties you used to eat as a child. There is something so fun and exciting about eating something incredibly sweet or colourful, you feel like a child again. Like nothing else in the world matters.
So we have:
Flying saucers. Love these. Full of sweet sherbet.
Dolly Mixture. Im sure there were some of these i didnt like. But the rest were so good.
Werther's original. I didnt particularly like these but whenever i went to my granny and grandad's house they would always have them. It was the only sweeties my grandad ever ate. So they hold a special place in my heart.
And of course candy necklaces. Yum. I hated when the boys pinged them at you at school though. It was sore. :(
Movies that make you think about life. They may not be happy all the way through but at the end you walk away feeling good with a grin on your face.
500 Days of Summer- its a romance, but a not so typical case of boy meets girl. Amazing music.
Amelie. There are no words to describe this film. Until you've seen this film you dont understand it. But after, everything changes. This one girl does things which all of us would aspire to do. If life was like this really it would be amazing.
Elizabethtown. It didnt have good ratings but it has orlando bloom and kirsten dunst so i thought id try it. Ive never looked back. It makes me want to take a road trip. The beginning is slow but the plot from about halfway though it just....gah. Amazing.
The Holiday. For a start it had Kate Winslet, Jack Black, Cameron Diaz and Jude Law in it but thats only the beginning. The most amazing christmas movie ive ever seen. Brilliant.
Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium. If you have an inner child inside you, i can almost guarantee you will love this film. A toy store which comes to life is the most exciting imagination a child can have....but in this...its real. Beautiful, funny, carefree film.
I am a big lover of music. Pretty much any kind but what really touches me or makes me smile is something that cant be described. You can imagine in your head that you're at the place the music describes.
What exactly?
Anything by Hans Zimmer, The soundtrack to 500 days of summer and Elizabethtown, Imogen Heap, Yann Tiersen, Mr Blue Sky, Colbie Caillat Bubbly plus lots more.
As well as music there are certain adverts which i cant stop watching cause of the effect they have on me.

Popping bubble wrap
Jumping in big puddles with wellies on
Eating your favourite ice cream
Seeing an old couple walking down the street holding hands
Dancing like a maniac to your favourite song....in your pjs
Playing hide and seek in a massive park with lots of trees.
Finding and occasion to put on your prettiest, frilliest dress (if you're a girl that is)
Picking dried PVA glue off your hands
Blowing bubbles outside
Jumping into a ball pit full of coloured balls
Relaxing in a really bubbly bath
Laughing so much you shed a tear
Looking at all the old photos of you as a child
Big flakes of slow falling snow
Putting your feet in warm sand
Children cuddling your leg
............to be continued.......
