Boulder, CO- U23
So I've been in Boulder now for about 4 days now and wow...I am here playing at the USA Rugby Under 23 women's All Star Championship with the U23 so cal select side team and I couldn't be having more fun. Well actually I could I just need to get a little more people from the UCLA team out here. It sucks cuz UCSB and UCSD are well represented on the team, I think both schools have like 5 people from their team. but that is just a sidenote. Anyways, this is also the first time I've been a rookie for a team and I couldn't have asked for better rookie partners. It was hilarious when we did our rookie skit last night. We did the show NEXT. it was classy and classic...=).
ahh well we have our next game today and against the U19 national team who beat the U23 South team. On friday we beat the U23 northeast (W24-10) and, apparently this is the first time in over 4 years that so cal territory has won a game and got out of being seeded 8th in the nation. So today we are working for either 6th or 4th. If we lose we stay in Tier 2 and if we win the loser from tier 1 moves to tier 2 and we move up to 4th in the nation and tier 1! That'd be hot...=). We shall see. We hope to make our territory proud...
apparently one of the our girls heard a U19 player say, "we have to beat them! they are only playing for their territory we are playing for our nation!" WTF? to which i think, "bring it!" This will be a very hard game....
