Well...that would be telling you. ;p Yahtzee's comment below (So I'm guessing, Syd and Vaughn are either dead or in hiding, and Jack and Irina are either dead or in jail, leaving Tom and Rachel to inherit a great deal of responsibility in a hurry --) is right on target.

I didn't really think about what happened to cause it. I was just writing a Tom-after-apocalyptic-event-at-a-desk drabble and then I was like "Hey, cool! What if he and Rachel live together and have wild sex a baby and what if the baby is Isabelle?

Thanks for reading!

Interesting idea!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.

You have the story right! I didn't think too much about the whys, more of a what if Tom-came-home-to-Rachel-yelling-at-him-about-diapers-fic and hey wouldn't that be cool?, but yeah, Syd/Vaughn have got to be out of commission and J/I too. With the 'we always do (survive)' at the end I was contemplating having the idea be that everyone except Tom and Rachel had died, but I'm a complete wimp when it comes to main character deaths.

:)

So nice, as usual. I really like how you write fic that makes my brain work to fill in the blanks. I would love to see more of this!

Unfortunately I'm really a 500 or so word girl...going beyond for me is about impossible! You never know, though.

I'm glad you liked it!

(re: making your brain work---I think it's more of my excuse *not* to make *my* brain work at coming up with a backstory! ;D)

Muah-ha-ha--I loved how Tom wanted to smash their faces in. Violent is wrong, but you know, it was in character for him.

Like everyone else said, I'm interested in seeing how Tom and Rachel got custody of Isabelle.

I love your icon!

I'm glad you liked it! I wanted Tom to come across as holding himself back to the desk job for the sake of Rachel and the baby but not being entirely happy about it--hence the face smashing! :D
