Title: Necessary Alliances
Author: midorinomizu
Characters: Will Tippin and Julian Sark
Length: 295 words

Too much had happened between them, particularly involving the Evil Dentist from Hell, his teeth, and the loss thereof, for Will Tippin not to be pointing a pistol at Julian Sark’s head when he opened the door.

Sark simply raised his eyebrows, which just made Will want to shoot him more. “We’re on the same side now,” Sark drawled. “That’s the way this world works, you know. Loyalties are fluid.”

“You’ve made some deal,” Will replied, “allying yourself with the CIA.” He shifted to the side to let Sark in, but his gun never wavered. “But I’m not a CIA analyst anymore. I’m a participant in the FBI’s apparently miserable witness protection program. And we will never be on the same side.”

Sark perched on the arm of Will’s couch and crossed his arms over his chest. “Are you finished now, Tippin?” he asked, raising a supercilious eyebrow.

“Are you gone yet?” He gritted his teeth as Sark smirked at him. “Then no. I’m not.”

Sark raised his eyes towards the heavens. “You never were cooperative without some incentive, Tippin. Nonetheless,” he added, his eyes cutting back to Will’s. “We have to work together on this. You may have some information the CIA needs to find a missing agent.”

“Funny how the CIA hasn’t seen fit to inform me of this, Sark. Not to mention its been three years now since I even worked with the CIA in any capacity; I wouldn’t know anything.”

“I think you would,” Julian Sark drawled slowly. “It’s a black ops agent and her daughter.

“Sydney Bristow and Isabelle Bristow Vaughn.”

Sark was pleased to see Will Tippin finally lower his gun. It was always good to see that the same buttons still worked even after a number of years.
