For AU-Bingo challenge "Criminals"

AU, obviously, and therefore not too spoilery for any but the basics. And why am I still warning for spoilers? Is anybody watching this comm who hasn't watched the full show in the four years since it went off the air? Who still intends to watch the full show? OK, end of ruminations, start of story.

This was just too good. Seriously. How did you create an entire universe in such a short piece? And it just felt so like the canon universe (which I totally thought it was early on, despite reading the "AU, obviously"). I love that you made Sydney still black and white because it's a such a great fidelity to the character we knew.

I have a feeling I would like spending more time in this universe. Irina being a little seduced by the evils of Jack's world is such a delicious opposite to Irina being a little seduced by the simplicity of married American. And Jack as a pure bad boy is such a nice image, especially when you combine it with the idea of Jack, Irina and Sloane jointly running a massive criminal organization. Is there a Nadia in this world?

The idea of them running a huge criminal syndicate together is tempting, isn't it? I don't know about a Nadia -- if there is one, Jack hasn't found out yet.

So, so tempting. I mostly thought about Nadia because maybe in this universe she would have been able to grow up with Irina. Ooh, and then when she finds out she has a sister she ventures over to the dark side. That would be excellent.

Any chance there will be more of this universe?

I don't know whether there's more! I mean, I could do more with it, but I have many, many Alias AUs to write for bingo. You might like one of them more!

Squee! This is awesome! I really love this AU - especially Sydney being on the dark side. And all the other role reversals, too.

I'm envisioning Nadia growing with Irina, now an Interpol agent herself and having to take Sydney down.

Oh, and on the spoiler thing: I've always felt that two years was a good time frame to no longer worry about spoiling people, although of course everyone has their own opinion (and someone did once get mad at me for "spoiling" the fall of the Roman empire)

I still remember people online getting upset when the movie "Troy" came out because they got spoiled for Achilles getting shot in the heel. At that point, those are not spoilers for fiction; they are spoilers for planet Earth.

Goddamn. I am hereby announcing we need more of this universe, because it is amazing. I'm most fascinated by the idea of Sydney enjoying being on the side of the bad guys, even as enticing as the idea of Irina being good guy is.

Sydney would make a really fabulous, really terrifying villain. She's SO single-minded, and so unstoppable. I will try to do more of this, but I have many AUs to do! Do any of you guys want to play with the idea?
