What was the last thing you wrote?
Fiction-wise: the newest chapter for “Moments”. And then I worked a bit on the newest chapter of “First Frost”
Was it any good?
Uh… No idea. Forced, I’d say. You can feel the labor pains **sigh**
What's the first thing you ever wrote that you still have?
Sailr Moon fiction, around 97/98….. I guess **cringes at the memory**
Write poetry?
Get out of here…
Angsty poetry?
Angst is much better in prose.
Favourite genre of writing?
Romance with slight drama, maybe a pinch of angest and action.
Most fun character you ever wrote?
All hands down, Matsumoto. She just flows whenever she’s appearing in the story.
Most annoying character you ever wrote?
Tifa - over half of the time, she didn’t do ANYTHING I wanted her to do **pout**
How often do you get writer's block?
Every now and then, it’s irregular **heavy sigh** Now I’m blessed with someone to kick me out of my funk, but in the past it used to be bad (up to 2 years of not writing a single word)
How do you fix it?
Power-through!
Write fan fiction?
Mostly.
Do you type or write by hand?
Both. When I got my laptop with me - I type. But I tend to write down scenes and ideas anywhere I go - in my calendar, on napkins, you name it I’ll use it.
Do you save everything you write?
Yeah. Lawyer’s habit I guess :D
Do you ever go back to an old idea long after you abandoned it?
Sometimes. Depends on the idea :D
What's your favourite thing that you've written?
Hm… I think “Trinity” for Magic Knight Rayearth - written purely to indulge myself in my Clef/Umi addiction, still not finished and already 60 pages long… :D
What's everyone else's favourite thing that you've written?
Well…according to the Pit it’s either “Anywhere” for FF7 or “First Frost” for BLEACH.
What's your favourite setting for your characters?
I don’t have one. The characters do what they want anyway **facepalm**
What's one genre you have never written, and probably never will?
No idea. Anything with explicit gore, torture probably. And full blown AUs.
How many writing projects are you working on right now?
Uh **scratches head** around seven or eight at the moment.
Do you want to write for a living?
I’d love to, but can’t see that happening with my limited workshop and constant lack of time.
Have you ever written something for a magazine or newspaper?
I was the chief editor in our high school paper, and did a series of articles for a more “underground” paper.
Have you ever won an award for your writing?
Does a profile header for LJ count…? Cause if so, I did win one at a Gazette community for the theme “lust” ^^’
Ever written something in script or play format?
Not from what I remember ^^”
What are your five favourite words?
Shimmer, lean, grit, whisper, brush.
What character that you've written most resembles yourself?
Honest to God, I don’t know… though, I really do think Matsumoto in “First Frost” is the closest to me **thinks** and this terrifies me.
Where do you get ideas for your other characters?
They just… happen.
Do you ever write based on your dreams?
Dear gods, no O.o my dreams are so whacked, that stories based on them would border on surrealism.
Do you favour happy endings, sad endings, or cliff-hangers?
I like cliffhangers that get quickly resolved with a happy ending :) so I’m a ball of fluff!
Are you concerned with spelling and grammar as you write?
Does music help you write?
Most of the time, yeah.
Quote something you've written. The first thing to pop into your mind.
“You’re scary” Kei pouted, slipping into the vacant spot on the sofa.
“What?” both white brows wandered up in surprise.
“You’re scary” she repeated “Scarier than San”
“You really know your way with words, don’t you…”
“No I mean. San’s scary in the talk big and throw things way. You just… you sit there and scare” she giggled, pulling one damp strand.
“Remind me, why am I friends with you again?” Yumi sighed, smacking Kei’s hand away lightly.
