I've had the most infuriating day ever! Ok so my car: the air conditioning broke kind of out of the blue and I decided that I should look into getting it fixed today. I dropped it off at the dealership and after like 8 hours (seriously....like much later that day they finally got back to me) they told me it would cost amost $2,000 because the whole system had to be replaced. On a 2000 car with only 25,000 miles??????? That's soooo ridiculous. So my dad took me to pick it up (I decided to fix it later....) and when they brought it out this guy jumped out leaving the a/c blasting. Cold cold cold air. I was sooooo confused but it's the kind of thing that can happen with my car--like the check engine light going on and off.... So I drove to Central Market to get dinner and on the way back the a/c no longer worked (after getting back in the car). I was at the light at Weslayan and Westheimer when I noticed that these men in the car next to me were staring at me in horror and alarm. THen I noticed the billowing clouds of white smoke that were coming out of my engine. Seriously it was getting hard to even see in front of me because there was soooo much white smoke everywhere. The inside of the car started getting really really hot tooo-like really fast. I was terrified, thinking that the car might explode and pulled into the shell station at that corner. I like leaped out of the car and ran across the station (past all the people staring at me while they filled up on gas) and into the little engine shop. There was only one guy there-Francisco-my hero! and I made him come out and he bravely approached my smoking car (it was really scary and it was leaving white ash all over the tires) and opened the engine. then he called his supervisor who was home and I had to explain the situation to him on the phone ( I understood francisco's spanish though-yay!). So now my buggy is there overnight and hopefully tomorrow morning they'll look at it...I have no idea what to do. I walked home from central market (sooo much further than I thought) and I had bought milk,etc... so it was fun needless to say. I was soo pissed-I mean momentum fucked up my car somehow...i'm ok with teh a/c not working but they must have done something.....anyways I got home and glared at the doormen who commented that I was sweating (yes after walking one mile home with heavy bags in the sun).....grrrrr!!!!! OH-and my internship is delayed and kind of fucked up--we'll see about that later. I think I should just go eat ice cream for a while.
