Quick update...
Nothing much to report really...
My girls did really well in our State Rhythmic Gym comp last weekend - four medals out of six routines, against some pretty stiff competition! Hoorah!
Officially resigned from my current job at the gym as of the end of the year. Might continue to work there in a different role (admin, less hours) though it depends if the committee get their act together in the next few days - otherwise I might look for something else to do for half the working week.
Either way I'm looking forward to getting back into tutoring, and getting well again!
Had my singing concert today. Went pretty well. Did 4 songs. First two were a bit dodgy as nerves took over and I couldn't breathe properly. Second two went much better. Not quite as good as I would have liked, but ok.
Enjoying the slightly less crazy time at work at the moment - exams are all finally marked so I have time to relax a bit more. Nice not to spend all my 'spare' time marking! Now I just fill it with St John stuff instead to make up for the 'nothing' I've done all year. I do wonder how long it will be before the new management team drive away all the volunteers in the organisation though... It seems their answer to every problem is to hire more managers!
We've been having some rain and storms here lately - which is great. We really need as much water as we can get! I hope it keeps up. They're predicting a bad fire season - South Australia and New South Wales have already had their first major fires. At least (fingers and toes crossed) we haven't seen anything yet.
Not much else happening really... Magic is being her usual adorable self :) Plans are afoot to move home at the end of next year - though it's scary how much we'll have to organise if that happens. It still depends on the economic situation and how hard it will be to quarantine the feathered one...
Right, I'll leave it there for now... Magic is demanding 'juice' :)
