So ask what I did this past weekend.
Since Saturday was very awkward and a pain in the ass, with drama I'm so sick of dealing with, we decided not to sit at home and do nothing. So I called a guy I know around here about this show he was putting on downtown Grand Rapids. Lesli and I got dressed up and went out. I was pissed we missed the movie because the guys were still moving stuff out, but we made it in time to see some of the metal bands that were playing. It was cool, and I really enjoyed one of the bands. It helped they were hot, but they really were good (I had to add them on Myspace, lol).
I had no idea what else to expect at this thing. So in the middle of the playing on the side of the stage they started to set up this platform thing. Then a girl came out and they started to suspend her. And by suspension I mean they pierce your skin with those hooks and hang you up to swing for ten or fifteen minutes. We were not expecting that at all. I've seen it done on tv, but to have it being done right in front of you, I couldn't turn away, it was so cool. I could never ever do it but you have to give them credit. She was swinging back and forth just smiling. Then a little later they hung a guy from his knees, that had to hurt. Lesli and I were cringing at that part. It was crazy, but we enjoyed it. There was an after party, but we were home by 12. I would love to go again next year.
