The site makes interesting reading

Arnhem was a cock up at the higher levels of command but the performance of the troops involved was superhuman.

The film of it is called "a bridge too far", it was directed by Sir Richard Attenborough and has a cast of dozens of stars, Gene Hackman, Sean Connery, James Caan, Michael Caine, Anthony Hopkins and loads of others, the book was written by the same guy that wrote "the longest day" about D-day. And for the boys, lots of guns etc.

Saw the movie...seems a while ago, back when all these stars still had some color in their hair.
