Domestic Day

Mel and I have demonstrated that we are no the feral semi humans we sometimes appear.

Last night she made some bannana bread, bannana bread is in my opinion a perfectly good reason to buy bannanas and watch them get over ripe.

It was great, I have always loved it and she makes it so well.

On my way home from work this morning I stopped at the store to get some dinner fixings for tomorrow night as we are having some folk round. I have decided as they are two Americans and a Dutch guy I will make a traditional british roast beef dinner.

So the menu is, Roast beef, yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, roast carrots and peas. Man am I looking forward to it.
I also had a cottage pie craving so I got the fixings for that as well as the ingredients for a batch of Tablet

So I got home and despite being very very tired (4 night shifts in a row) I started cooking, I made the cottage pie for later and had another crack at making tablet, this time it worked way better and so I have been on an almost constant sugar rush since then.

Man I love having a kitchen that we can cook in properly and time off to spend cooking on my own.
Anyone who feels like popping over for dinner sometime is more than welcome.
