Forgotten Tragedy
It's 29 years since the Bradford football disaster occurred. Sadly not that many people remember the fire that broke out, killing 56 football fans; the event has been overshadowed by a later disaster. Looking at the footage of the fire on youtube, the bravery of fans and police officers who did their best to help people who were trying to escape the flames really stands out.
Hillsborough was a disaster, and it's right that questions are still being asked about that day. But it's wrong that Hillsborough is the only disaster that is remembered.
