Yay something good for a change!
The bonfire was last weekend at "the farm". I'm really trying hard to call it that but its not an easy thing to do. It was actually pretty fun and I'm really thankful so many people went with/for me. I would have been totally bored if it was just me. I think everyone had fun and enjoyed walking in the woods et all (we did it like 3 times!). The sleeping arrangements could have been better. Next time we will try and remember the air mattresses and maybe set up the spare room a little better to accommodate more peoples (you guys know you could have slept on the twin bed....right!?!) I tried to get others to sleep on the beds but I guess everyone wanted to sleep by their significant other. Poor Mike, I deserted him and slept on the other twin bed, although it kinda made sense, I dunno if he would have wanted to sleep there with Rachael in the other bed.
We learned a few things on this little trip. One of course was bring air mattress. Another thing we learned was bring an extra coat and a blanket for the hay (straw?!) rack ride. Still one more thing was not to tell Robin weird stories when she is somewhat tipsy. Who knew the girl with weird things in jars would be a little squeamish about some blood. Although I really agree they NEED new flooring in that room asap. They also need another bathroom. There was a line for the potty almost the entire night.
So what went down. Well we got a late start since the cat sitter didnt show up until 7 (when he was supposed to be there waaay before that). So most of the driving was in the dark. I was happy that I didnt get lost. I've only really driven it a couple of times, rode it a lot more but usually when I ride, I sleep b/c of car sickness. Nikki, Tim and Rachael drove separately b/c they would have been squished in my car, plus they were originally going to leave much later than us. After they got there, I gave them the quick tour of the house. We then discussed sleeping and got started watching "The Other Boelyn Girl" which we also recorded, knowing full well we wouldn't stay awake for most of it.
I'm going to save the rest for another entry b/c this one is getting long and I have pictures I want to post up so everyone can see all the fun we had.
