I burned myself yet again! The last time I burned myself was in the summer while trying to cook on a terribly tiny stove and the burn scarred me. This time the burn isn't as bad, but still, it hurts! Why do I bake? I am actually quite surprised that I haven't burned myself in the ceramics studio...now that I've said that I'm probably going to burn myself next semester, or hell, even at the woodfiring. The date has been pushed back, we start loading on the 1st instead of the 28th. That kinda sucks because I won't be able to stay for the end of the firing as school starts on the 10th, but at least I get more time in San Francisco. I've been doing reading on woodfiring, basically, all the reading has taught me is that the only way to learn about woodfiring is to go and do it. How helpful!
Christmas starts today! (well, for me and other Germans, anyway) See, my mom is German and the tradition she grew up with is that the evening of Christmas eve we eat a German meal and at 8pm we open gifts. I usually make myself some breakfast sausages and eggs, mac&cheese, linguica or chorizo since I don't like German food. Christmas morning was when we opened our gifts from Santa, but he doesn't bring us anything anymore, I wonder why...
Grades are posted! I got a 'C' in life drawing. I worked really hard the second half of the semester in order to pull my grade up from the current 'C' I had, but all to no avail! That bitch gave me a 'C' anyway! Well, in revenge, I put nothing in her strengths section for the teacher evaluations as she did the same for me at midterms. I got an 'A' in ceramics, 3-D studio and my theater independent study, which makes up for the 'C' I suppose. The 'C' really did pull down my GPA.
I am super excited about seeing The Phantom of the Opera the musical-movie. I am hoping to see it with Linda, but we'll see.
Happy holidays everyone! Have a good time with your family and friends; take care!
