My culture
My friend Leah observed that I am not only in the mood for Mexican food, but just for the culture in general. In the gym today as we were finished climbing the wall I heard music from the belly dancing class and it sounded like merengue music. That got me in the mood to go salsa dancing. I want Mexican food and to go salsa dancing this weekend!
My ceramics teacher told me today that he has some porcelain I could use...how exciting is that?! He is also going to glaze some of his pots while I observe and he can show me some techniques and I can glaze my bowls and cups with his help. He also wants to have his own personal firing and he said I could put some of my work in the kiln too. I am so excited I am really getting into this pottery stuff, I am slightly tempted to steer from photography and focus on ceramics (but if you know me well enough, you'd know I would never do that).
