I SERIOUSLY WANT FEEDBACK FROM YOU.
Linebeck: I apped him all honesty because I realized all the other chars I wanted to app was gone (and later found that the muns who do rp them are much better than I am) and I vaguely liked this captain's personality. Most of the research was done by Zelda wiki and then I just kinda made new personalities for him as stuff progressed.
I guess you can say ignorance is bliss when it comes to Linebeck. Obviously - as seen by the chat's numerous crazy jokes about it - he is not truly like PH Canon!Becky for many reasons: he speaks pirate, drinks rum instead of milk, and is not as brutally honest/direct in speech. The only thing I seemed to have gotten down is his hatred for kids/Link and work in general. I still need to work on his rupee fetish but he has not had an opputunity to do that
I know fans have paired him with Tlink and called him a pedophile. I first thought that persona would be OKAY. But I realized that I HATE RPING STUFF LIKE THAT. Besides, the pedophilia characteristic, IMO, comes from fanart/fics people make since in PH everyone assumes that "OGOD THAT GAME ONLY INVOLVES LINK AND SOME OLD GUY LETS MAKE THEM MAKE OUT" So I just made him 100000x more grumpier and not as "satisfactory" as some wishes he was. Although I love the little things I do to show Linebeck does, to some extent, care for Link, I am not very confident about getting that any further and sometimes I feel like the rpers here are not satisfied with what I have done to him.
Naturally Linebeck is also antisocial - except to his drinking man-buddies - but sometimes I have an urge to app for a more active chara...and he sometimes frustrates me. If you stayed in chat long enough, I wish sometimes I can drop him but meh, I'll see.
Manaphy: He was my brawl favorite because I managed to see Manaphy do his swap work multiple times when I played with my friends...and as I researched stuff for his app, I fell in love and I def think he's one of my favorite Pokemon (one of MANY).
The only issue I have with him is that his personality was supposed to be more outgoing (like that in the movie) but I think I made him too shy/formal. But some like it, and I like his cute moments...so my satisfaction with him is pretty high.
Rouge the Bat: I loved her in Sonic X (korean dub whooo) so I apped. She was taken by a dead rp person when I first joined so I did not bother with her until Chico told me about it. So...I started the whole "SBG Alumni" and faculty thing with her. And I think it was one of my better choices I made.
She's flirty (check), attractive (check), has a thing for gems (ummm I'm working on that more), and a manipulative prankster. I have no really done anything BAD with her because she's not EVIL but not GOOD. Sort of like one of those oppurtunists that go for the side that gives her the most benefits. So far, the good side has been extremely profitable and I have given that reason for my making Rouge such a good person...for now. Maybe some other plot might make her show some other colors.
And her main worry I have is her godmodding potential. She's SECURITY and has CAMERAS. I already limited her powers by saying the cams are in the halls and exterior of buildings, but I feel like even that is excessive. I already had one incident with that in the date thread and I'm afraid the same thing might happen for the Fang stealing-stuff-from-others plot. So I def need feedback on that...
Blastoise: I do not regret that I used my fourth slot to app a Green team member. Although there was that OOC slip with Ivy and Char - which is STILL FREAKING EMBARRASSING - he's been an easygoing character I like to rp and update now and then. He probably needs to socialize with the following people but I am not bothered too much by it (and for the muns of these said charas, is it okay if we talk about offscreen canon events concerning Blast?)
So the characters I want to see Blast interact with are: Scyther, Hojita, Tails, Lash, Andy, Ionia (???)
Otherwise, I see nothing bad about him so far. He's a laid back and not a techy person; therefore, I like him well.
Myself as a player: I am rather not very confident about how well I can keep my chars IC and the lack of interactions some have (i.e. Linebeck's) makes me discouraged. Due to this I have considered on dropping characters several times but later be glad I did not. Also, I am very selfish in that I don't want anyone else to rp my characters if I happen to drop them. Especially with Linebeck, I have already told a few that I'd HATE to drop him and later find a person who apps him and makes him totally different. Yes, it;s a bad thing. But I sometimes do feel like that.
