So I'm switching bedrooms at my house, right? And my mom has been on me to go through all my drawers and nostalgic preservations (she calls it junk, sheesh!). So I'm going through my top dresser drawer last night (creepy, I once wrote a story named "Top Dresser Drawer"!) and amongst high school marching band music and tennis team t-shirts and forgotten picture frames, I find...a bank envelope. And I say to my friend Lindsay, "Wouldn't it be funny if there was actually money in here?" And, though I am convinced that I would NEVER forget about money, I open the envelope...and find $100 inside!!! WHOA! (reminiscent of Joey from "Blossom"...that one's for you, PJ!) Turns out it was the bonus that the family I babysat for gave me last year when my tenure ended. I think I put it away to spend on myself for my birthday or something, I don't know. But now it's going towards Hungary! Yay! Even though my trip is going to be quite a lot more expensive than $100, it's $100 less than I was expecting to spend...praise God!!!
And three applications went out in the mail yesterday, Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Let me tell you, I am certainly giving my dad job security, since it cost me $23 to send three applications! That's all right, though. I'd much rather spend the money to be reasonably sure they will arrive by February 1. Included in those three apps was the app for my top choice school, so I'm praying like CRAZY!!! But I know that whatever God has planned for me will be WAY better than my own plans. He's pretty consistent like that :)
Okay, must get back to clearing off my very messy desk. At least I have a real file cabinet now, so I can attempt to be more organized. We'll see how long that lasts...
