LOG | Upon warpin to the area, the first thing the players will notice is that this place - bar the strange soundtrack dissonance and the 'extra' effects - looks pretty normal. Sure, there's something not quite right with the way the graphics look but there's no ringing silence, no holes for one to fall into and everything looks perfectly intact. The hallways in the dungeon are lined with flickering candles while the more spacious rooms with their high ceilings are lit by moonlight slipping through the few holes in the ceiling. If nothing else, it felt like a pretty decent rendition of someone's idea of a haunted mansion.

There's still something incredibly off about the entire place though... It's something we can't quite put our finger on-

But like all dungeons in The World, this one comes with it's own monsters. This is the month of October, and the monsters quite clearly are part of a theme; you have your typical zombies and skeletons, a few living armors anall ambling through the level and a horde of other horror inspired monsters (and bats, we must not leave out the bats). Take a closer look at the monsters reveals there's something not quite right about them either... Are those red streaks and blocky black parts suppose to be part of the design-?

You'll have to fight those monsters in order to clear the dungeon and reach the end though. There's no helping it; they are walking right in your path after all. While being hit by monsters hurts no matter who you are, the attacks here leave you feeling numb for a few seconds afterwards. The effects wear off quickly and don't hinder your progress, so it's not something that would immediately cause alarm. Quite frankly, it felt like a dumbed down version of the 'Paralysis' status effect anyway. Nothing a Rip Teyn spell or an antidote won't cure.

Well? The dungeon won't clear itself; do you dare to try and beat it?

[ooc: Participating in this event will be the trigger for another event come early November December. If you want a Monster NPC in your thread, please say so in your subject line. If you have any questions, feel free to PM/IM either Mods; we'll be happy to clear up any questions or concerns you may have]
