Miss Amaterasu! I hope you weren't waiting long; I made a quick stop for lunch. I do hope everything's all right...?

When she turns to greet him there is a light hint of soft pink on her cheeks and she gives him a bright, gentle smile. Her stomach still has a butterfly or two fluttering about in it but it's nothing that she can't ignore. She shakes her head to his words and lets out a soft "mm-mm" in response. She hadn't been waiting long at all.
The sight of the paper bag catches her attention and she walks over, closing the distance between them, and leans in to give it a sniff. What sort of lunch did he get?]

I picked up sandwiches from the deli in Mac Anu. Shall we?

[The deli in Mac Anu made some pretty good sandwiches. A tasty snack after fighting; one to help calm down the rest of her jittery nerves. Nerves that cause her to draw her hand back when she notices it going to grab for the sleeve of his clothing.]
Ah -
[She turns on the heels of her feet, making her way to the bench and sitting there first; drawing her legs up under her in an Indian style position, hands moving to rest against her bare knees.]

May I ask what it was you wanted to speak about? It sounded rather urgent, so I was a bit worried.

Would it be okay to give it to him in the middle of their meal?
Swallowing her mouthful, Amaterasu sets the wrapped sandwich to her left while she takes out her Relic. A few button presses and a plain envelope appears in her hand. She looks to Gauche from the corner of her eye and holds it out to him.]

Shall I? Or would you prefer I wait until after we're finished eating?

Her preference on when he read it didn't really matter; the letter was now his and the light shrug of her shoulders that seems to say as much. It was up to him on whether he wanted to do so now or wait until after they were finished. Regardless of the choice, she was sure that there would still be that odd, unfamiliar flip-flopping of her stomach, quick beating of her heart, and plain nervousness all going about at once within her.]

Worn hands work the envelope open with a long-practiced ease, and he slides the paper out to unfold. He takes his time, scanning every word with devoted attentiveness. ]

Quieter than usual, at least.
This was a silly gamble that she was doing - professing her feelings to someone like this (let alone a man that she would outlive) - and it scares her a little to think of such things. Add in that they are from two different worlds and that only amplifies things ten fold.
So she will just sit there and lace her fingers together as she waits for him to finish with the letter.]
